Many times in our lives, the Universe puts us in situations where we face complete mental and spiritual breakdowns. We start questioning everything around us from faith to societal constructs, educational practices to everyday life norms. It takes us to break down completely to reconsider everything we have been taught in our lives. This continuous questioning inside us about 'What went wrong?' is what leads us to start seeing things with a different perspective.
In order to overcome our setbacks and reconstruct our lives, it is important that we learn from our past mistakes. This accountability helps us in not only righting our wrongs but also in making impactful comebacks. Having said that, have you ever considered what is it that aids us in the process of embracing new beginnings? The answer is simple: #FOCUS
Yes my friends! 'Focus', a five lettered word with immense power. If you keep focusing on the setbacks and put all your energy into these events repeatedly, there will come a time when you will burnout. Your mind will get exhausted and soul dampened. So, what must one do? Shouldn't we take our time in healing? Yes you should. You must entertain sadness when it comes, cry your heart out, meditate, pray, travel, vent as much as you want and be done with it. You must consciously make a choice to pull yourself out of the box of darkness other people's actions or bad incidents put you into.
The secret is to let the phase of sadness pass gracefully and then let it go. Bury the past, burn the memories and then move on. You must decide to recreate life for yourself and make intentional efforts to do so. Do whatever it takes. Relocate, go for a holiday trip, read self help books, watch good movies, listen to uplifting songs, draw, color, paint and consume any type of content accordingly.
In addition to all the ingredients mentioned above, recipe of a new life does consist of good friends, supportive family and every person or living being who helps you keep your peace of mind. It is very important to have people in your life who love you despite your shortcomings and help you improve them. People who #support your dreams and #believe in your abilities. People who restore your faith in humanity and your confidence in yourself when you feel weak. Such people must be an integral part of our support groups. People we could look up to, go to for advice, share a secret with, party and enjoy life with, share our sorrows and happiness with. These people become our pillars of strength. Have you ever noticed closely, none of the superheroes are able to achieve their full potential without the support of their home teams? Be it #Flash, Batman or Arrow. Just like them we too need our home teams to chrish and cheer for us.
Last but not the least, we need to keep an attitude of gratitude in our lives. This one attribute helps us in rejuvenating our minds and souls. #Gratitude puts us in a good mood by highlighting the blessings we have in our lives. It shifts our focus from what was lost to what is still left to grow ourselves with.
